About Me
Gideon Williams
Gideon Williams is an experienced Counsellor and Coach and has been practicing since 2006. Having worked in both inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment settings and many reputable and registered treatment facilities in Cape Town.
During 2012 he obtained his Postgraduate Diploma in Addictions Care at the University of Cape Town and has his own lived experiences, being in long term recovery from his own addiction.
As a recovery counsellor and coach Gideon has helped many clients build richer and more rewarding lives. Through a combination of counselling and coaching techniques, his academic studies and his own “earthy wisdom”, he will assist you to identify your limiting beliefs and outdated coping mechanisms that may be standing in your way of attaining recovery. His aim is to assist you to explore your values and develop options that suits your personal preferences. Recovery coaching is a strength-based approach, honouring your personal values and making principle-based decisions, creating a clear plan of action, and using current strengths to reach your future goals.
